The remains of sheep were located on the Comobella Road, opposite the Guerie tip, on Tuesday, February 16 and the animals appeared to have been shot, then butchered at the location.
The sheep were subsequently identified as belonging to landholders from Comobella and Guerie, who indicated they had been stolen recently after shearing.
