The home side put 139 runs on the board as Belmonte (42) played a huge part in the run-scoring side of things before the bowling staff played tremendously, wiping out Parkes' batting order in quick fashion.

And while the victory means a boost on their ladder positioning this summer, it means more for years to come as he thinks it's a confidence-building result.

"It gives us some good momentum to work into next year," Belmonte said.

"Hugh Le Lievre was be there to lead us for that and so will Frank Weymouth."

The first innings total wasn't one you'd consider big, but Belmonte was confident in his side's bowling staff.

"I felt good about our bowling attack," he said.

"It was still something for us to defend. Sometimes those totals - even though you feel confident as a batting team - can be hard to chase.

Credit goes to the bowling attack... they did really well."

Jarryd Seib, Mitch Black and Hugh Le Lievre all wreaked havoc on the Parkes' batsmen, something Belmonte spoke about.

"They were all really good but when Seib came on, that really changed the game. He got a couple of wickets in one over and blew the game wide open," he said.

It was a tough season for Orange and Belmonte feels as though it was made harder by some disruption early on.

"We were a bit unlucky with a few of those wash outs," he said.

"If we got to play in those it might have been a different story."

Dubbo and Bathurst are set to square off in the grand final after Dubbo's final-round defeat gave Bathurst the chance to host.

"If it was at home I'd take Dubbo because they're tough to beat there," he said.

"They smashed us when we went there."
