After winning the toss, Cavaliers decided to field first as they limited Centrals Red to 159 before the last wicket fell in over 38.
Opening bat, Jacob Kopp (37) was solid for the winning side, as was Adam Shepherd (22) and Tristan Moon (27).
Max Pearce (4/31) did his best to keep the batting side under wraps, as did Ryan Noon (3/17) whose efforts were solid.
The total looked a very manageable one for Cavaliers after lunch but chaos ensued as they lost five wickets before reaching 20 runs, standing at 5/16 and looking for answers.
This was largely due to the work of Stuart Pullar (5/27) who was monumental, cleaning up the bulk of Cavs' top order and wreaking havoc on the match.
Zac Pavy (68) was remarkably the only Cavaliers' batsman to score in double digits as his side was all out for 111 runs.
The results means first-placed Orange City is all-but a lock to finish minor premiers, while Kinross is on the hot seat after a surprise loss to Centrals Black.
The students' bats struggled on Saturday the men in navy were all out for 112 with opener Ben Ronald making 40, with everyone else failing to crack 20.
Shane Crowhurst (3/14) was strong with the ball in the opening innings as he wiped out the middle order.
It wasn't quite a foregone conclusion after lunch as the batting side lost an early wicket, but as long as Ben Winslade (56 not out) stood at the crease, it felt like they were in control.
The key bat spent over two hours on centre stage, hitting three fours in a game-deciding knock.
Stuart Crisp (3/13) was best on ground for Kinross but wasn't able to swing the result in his side's favour.
The loss shapes as a costly one for Kinross as they relinquished their spot in the top three.
In the last contest, CYMS were belted by Orange City as the frontrunners continued their surge to the minor premiership with a 48-run win.
The Warriors made the decision to bat first and while there were no standouts, a handful of bats were up to the task, helping the men in green reach 164 in 40 overs.
City looked a $1.20 in the innings break but would have firmed into $1.04 after CYMS lost two wickets extremely early on.
The 2/3 start couldn't be overcome, despite good efforts from Rohan Bouffler (32) and Matt Baker (36). CYMS remain anchored to the bottom of the table on 12 points.
