Police allege to have detected the 32-year-old travelling more than 45km/h over the 50 speed limit while conducting speed enforcement duties on Ophir Road on Sunday morning.
They immediately confiscated and suspended the man's licence at the roadside for six months.
They also confiscated his vehicle's number plates too, the same legislation stating they can do so for a period of three months in these particular circumstances.
After beginning on Friday Operation Australia Day continues until 11.59pm on Tuesday night, with motorists facing double demerit points for speeding, mobile phone, motorcycle helmet and seatbelt offences.
