After winning the toss, the away side made the crucial call to have a bat as Nick Broes' 92-run effort helped his troops reach a mammoth figure of 182.
Broes has been one of the form players in the region recently and continued his devastating ways, belting 13 boundaries in a game-changing innings for the men in blue.
Andrew Brown (41) opened with a good score for St Pat's, adding to the damage they did to Cavaliers' bowling staff in the opening 20 overs.
Mitch Black (2/38) struggled at times but was the most impactful wicket taker for the Cavaliers, while Kyle Buckley (1/25) also had success.
Cavaliers know the run chase would be a tricky one and they kicked it off in the worst possible way as Bailey Ferguson (4) fell almost immediately.
Kaleb Cook (5) went not long after as the home side was in absolute shambles at 2/17.
Next, it was Hugh Middleton (1) who got out and it was well and truly panic stations for the premiers.
Matt Corben (40) stood at the crease and needed to be the team's saviour - and then some - but wasn't able to get going as he scored less than a run a ball.
Wesley Lummis (52) easily Cavs' best with the bat as he did all he could to bring the men in maroon back from the dead.
Matthew Fearnley and Mitch Taylor both went 2/19 in solid outings with the ball, while Jack Goodsell (1/15) was extremely economical in four overs of work.
The loss spells the end for the reigning premiers as they look to confirm a spot in the Bathurst Orange Inter District competition postseason.
As for St Pat's Old Boys, they move one step closer to the T20 grand final and at this point in time, would have to be considered favourites to take the competition out.
CYMS and Centrals are the two Orange hopes left as the former will host Bathurst City on Friday January 29 at Wade Park.
Centrals will play Rugby Union a week later.
