Finals contention might not be on the cards for CYMS in 2021 but that doesn't mean the men in green won't play with passion in the last month of Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket action.

After a swift start to the season, Hugh Le Lievre's men have hit a form slump and heading into an round 10 away game against St Pat's Old Boys, have just three wins to their name.
All things considered, it's been a brave season for a side who lost a tonne of players in the off-season but all-rounder Tom West knows the current standard isn't good enough, and wants to make a change on Saturday.
"We've definitely underperformed so far," West said.
"There's about a month left and we've still got a lot to prove... we want to be competitive.
"We played well against Orange City and St Pat's last season and that's who we've got in the next two weeks... we've definitely got a chance to produce a bit of a shock."
West wasn't able to pinpoint one area of weakness through the last couple of months, suggesting it's been 'a bit of everything' that's held the side back.
"We just need to be more consistent everywhere," he said.
"The last couple of opening partnerships have gone for 100 against us so we definitely need to get early wickets.
"St Pat's are a good young side with some dangerous batsmen so we need to be ready for that."
From an individual standpoint, West wants to continue to work on his bowling as he just recently became a leg spinner.
"I need to get rid of the bad balls and they're fairly common at the moment," he said.
As for the surrounding members of the bowling staff, there's been a few standouts but none more impressive than skipper Hugh Le Lievre who's been his usual self.
"He's easily our leading wicket taker," he said.
"As for the runs, it's been fairly even. Dave Neil, Rory DaBurger and Tom Belmonte have all been solid for us.
"For us, it's about everyone putting it together on the same day."
They won't play finals cricket in the BOIDC but CYMS are still alive in the T20 Royal Hotel Cup which is exciting.
"From memory, we've played in the semi finals the last few seasons so it would be good to finally win it," he said.
CYMS will host Bathurst City at Wade Park on Friday January 29 in a T20 elimination clash, a contest that's extremely winnable for the men in green.
The winner of that will advance to the semi finals.
