Joshua Terry Hedington, 28, of Hawkins Street, West Bathurst, was subject to an interlock licence when he was stopped while driving a work vehicle on the Mitchell Highway at Lucknow on November 6.
Although he had a device fitted to his personal car, magistrate David Day said it was a safety issue and he fined Hedington $330.
In another matter a driver was fined about lying about his name.
He said he didn't have his licence with him and gave a fake name, however police identified him and a check revealed his driver's licence was disqualified until June 2021.
