According to police facts, Phillip Tyquin, 26, of Deervale Road, Clifton Grove, was drinking outside the Metropolitan Hotel on August 1 at 12.20am and he threw his glass at a woman's car as she drove along Byng Street.
The glass smashed on her bonnet causing chips in the paintwork.
Tyquin was also caught mid-range drink-driving with a reading of 0.111 after police saw him driving 96km/h in a 70km/h zone on the Northern Distributor Road on September 18.
Magistrate David Day fined him $550 for the property damage. He also fined him $880 and placed him on a 12-month interlock order for drink-driving.
However, he did not disqualify his licence due to Tyquin already spending four months off the road.
