The concept has been growing in momentum on a national scale over the past few years, with the Pinot and Picasso franchise alone now having 30 different branches around the country.
The newest one is being brought to Orange by two brothers and their mate who recognised the potential for an idea in a city that already has a strong wine, art and tourism scene.
Pinot and Picasso Orange is owned by Dan Pedano and brothers, Adam and Clint Carver.
The trio from Kurrajong Heights are adding the finishing touches to the art studio at 245 Summer Street which will be the headquarters for the Orange "paint and sip" nights once it officially opens to public on Saturday, January 23, from 7pm.
For Mr Pedano and his best friends and business partners, Orange was a "clear choice" as a location when they decided to create their own branch of Pinot and Picasso.
"Orange is beautiful and recently it's seemed like a place a lot of tree-changers are moving to," he said.
Following Pinot and Picasso's opening night next Saturday, the studio on Summer St will host three nights a week - each with a different theme.
"At it's core, it's entertainment that can be a girls' night, date night, an after work hang-out [or] a private event. We cater for both public and private events," Mr Pedano said.
"We have an art host and a teacher who will be leading them through painting while they drink their favourite drop of wine or whatever they decide to bring as it's bring your own [alcohol and drinks].
"We provide catering as well but they can bring their own nibbles."
