A queue of cars stretched out onto Leeds Parade at the drive-through testing clinic at the Orange Showground on Monday while the Orange Hospital fever clinic was busy on the weekend.
WNSWPHN Orange Practice manager Ann Carter said there had been strong demand from people seeking tests.
"On Friday and today [Monday] we were fully booked," she said.
Ms Carter said there had been 'a handful' of people from the Northern Beaches area visiting Orange who had been tested at the clinic.
"People from the Northern Beaches are being asked to come and get tested even if they are not showing any symptoms," she said.
She said 70 people had booked for tests on Monday.
Ms Carter said about 50 people were tested at the Orange Hospital fever clinic on Sunday.
She said Cadia mine workers and people of all ages had sought the tests.
Ms Carter said the clinic would continue to see people this week with people needing to book online or contact the Bloomfield Medical Group.
However, the clinic will be closed from Christmas Day until January 10.
The Orange Hospital clinic will be open on December 25-28 and January 1-4 and 9-10.
The drive-through clinic at the showground will be open until December 24, December 29-31 and January 4-8.
