Chase Johnson is opening Street Deli Sandwiches and will be at Rowlee Wines on Saturdays and at Heifer Station Wines on Sunday's between 10am and 4pm during the school holidays from January 3.

However, once the holidays are over Mr Johnson will come into Orange, and residents and people working in shops and businesses will be able to order from him using an order app, which will give his location.

"They will get push notifications as to where the truck will be in a particular day," Mr Johnson said.

He said many of those locations will be on private land to reduce the impact on existing brinks and mortar cafes. For larger orders there will also be a delivery option.

He said the American-style deli sandwiches will feature cold cut meats and pickled vegetables, there will also be a vegetarian and a gluten free option.

"Growing up in the states I always missed the sandwiches you get back home," Mr Johnson said.

"There's a few more options and the style of bread is a bit different."

Goody Eddy Cafe in Lords Place is extending. The cafe has already doubled its capacity by opening a seated area in the space formerly occupied by Bella Noir.

Co-owner Maddy Howell said they are looking at extending to incorporate a kitchen and provide more food in the new year.

"It's mainly being able to have that seating, which is good for the restrictions," she said.

"We can fit 20 more people sitting down."

Hunky Chunky Pies owner Ben Henry has received his awards from the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition.

"It's the first year we've been in it," Mr Henry said.

"Out of 1500 entries we got four medals.

The Molong-based pie shop was awarded a bronze award for its beef and gravy pie and silver awards for its Texas barbecue brisket; ratatouille, pearl couscous and feta; and country corned beef.

Mr Henry is a qualified chef and opened the pie shop opened on the highway two years ago.
