At least five more houses have sold in the city area for at least $1 million in the past three months.
And another house with a price guide of $1.5-1.6 million is receiving strong interest right now.
There are about 20 houses in Orange currently for sale for more than a million dollars.
About 40 properties in the Orange region have sold for more than $1 million in the past 12 months.
The latest additions to the city list are 91-93 Woodward Street ($1.48 million), 399 Anson Street ($1.33 million), 71 Moulder Street ($1.3 million), 21 March Street ($1.1 million) and 143 Sale Street ($1 million).
Fitzgerald Estate Agents director Josh Fitzgerald said while there was interest from out-of-town buyers most of their sales were coming from Orange people.
"In the last financial year [in] 75 per cent of sales we executed, the buyers already had a 2800 postcode," he said.
Mr Fitzgerald said there was plenty of demand for the high-end properties.
"Most definitely, there seems to be interest all across the board," he said.
"Most of the people who have purchased the properties are locals."
His agency currently has 9 Sale Street for sale with a $1.5-1.6 million price guide and said there had been "strong interest" in it.
Blowes Real Estate Residential Sales manager Chris Tyack sold the Moulder Street property for $1.3 million in October.
"We had about seven or eight inspections and there were two or three people who wanted to buy it," Mr Tyack said.
"[High-end demand] is strong," he said.
Mr Tyack said the buyers were from the Hunter Valley and were moving to Orange to be near family.
"One who wanted it was a local, she knew the house. One was an investor local," he said.
Mr Tyack said the house had been operated as a bed and breakfast but the new owners planned to live in it.
He said Sydney buyers were active in the Orange market. "Most investment [property demand] is from Sydney people. If it is a good investment they'll just come and buy them."
