After hanging up his butchers apron and then taking up work in mining, Mr Munro has decided to change careers completely and become a real estate agent.
Mr Munro said he had always admired stock and station agents and hopes to one day work in that field but at the moment he's content to start small and already has a couple of rental and sales properties on his books.
"I was a blue collar worker for so long, to change things and put a white collar on for a while will suit me just fine," he said.
Mr Munro has opened the business online but said he will do more after Christmas and hopes to open a shop front in March.
Rookie of the year
Real estate agent Roger Burrell has won joint Rookie of the Year and One Agency Orange has won best Large Regional Office at the company's awards on Thursday.
The One Agency Awards cover agencies from across Australia and New Zealand and Mr Burrell won alongside Eden Longford from the Central Coast for Rookie of the Year.
"I think it's great to get a personal award but I couldn't have got the award had I not had the support of our office," Mr Burrell said.
Mr Burrell said he worked in property management about 20 years ago but decided to rejoin the industry as a sales agent after moving to Orange two years ago.
"It was more of a lifestyle thing," he said.

Relocation made
Gracie Burger has opened in its new location in Sale Street although the renovation of the building is not yet complete.
Gracie Burger owner Max Schaapveld said the kitchen in the new premises is three times the size of the one in the previous restaurant, it's closer to customers and consequently service has sped up.
"We needed more space, our kitchen was too small in the last restaurant as we've grown in popularity in the last 18 months," Mr Schaapveld said.
"We've halved the time people are getting their food."
The restaurant is now making its own traditional style ice cream that comes with 30 different mix-ins that could create about 800 different combinations.
Work to expand the dining area and create and al fresco dining area is continuing.
