Kinross Wolaroi student Phoebe Litchfield was part of the young-gun Sydney Thunder line-up that was crowned WBBL06 champions on Saturday night.
Prior to the match, she received some words of wisdom from the men's team captain, Callum Ferguson.
"Obviously it's a big occasion whenever you play a final," he said.
"Things can happen really, really quickly in those big games where the TV is there and the fans are packed in.
"It was a great weekend for the Thunder, there was no doubt about that."
The WBBL side had no difficulty rising to the task, as they ran home comfortable winners against the Melbourne Stars.
But with the men's competition fast approaching, could Orange stake its claim to even more silverware?
Chris Tremain is another Kinross product plying his trade on the big stage and will be hoping to have a bounce back year with the Thunder once their season starts up on December 12.
Ferguson said they will be looking to take inspiration from their female counterparts.
"They're a part of the team at the Sydney Thunder, so any time the team's having wins it has a good feeling throughout."
Tremain rejoined the Thunder last season, signing a three year deal, after previously donning the green back in the 2012-13 season.
But the big fast bowler from Yeoval didn't have the success one would hope for.
Despite featuring in 11 matches, he took just five wickets at an average of 58.
One factor that may be able to strike the Kinross man into action is consistency, with the side's first five games being played at Canberra's Manuka Oval, four of which are classed as Thunder home games.
"It means a lot to us obviously to have so many games at home in front of our Thunder fans," Ferguson added.
"The sea of green, in a short span of time, it will give us a really big lift."
But home games or not, Tremain will be looking to continue his hot start to the Sydney first grade season, where he has already bagged seven wickets for UNSW, including 4-56 on the weekend.
