The two cars collided on the corner of March Street and Lords Place at around 4pm on Tuesday afternoon, with the intersection closed for about 30 minutes while emergency services attended the scene.
It's the third time this year the section of road in the CBD has been closed following an accident, with a similar prang in January.
While another crash in June also resulted in March Street and Lords Place intersections being closed.
Like those previous crashes, neither driver was seriously injured.
Central West Police District officers who attended the scene say one of the cars was travelling east on Lords Place and continued through the give way sign after failing to see the other car travelling south on March Street, causing the accident.
Both elderly drivers were checked out at the scene and both were cleared of any injury. While breath analysis readings conducted by police officers at the scene came back negative.
Police say no charges will be laid.
Both cars were towed from the scene, and CWPD officers and high patrol directed traffic at the scene while the intersection was being cleared.
The Lords Place and March Street intersection is now open.
In January this year, councillor Jeff Whitton pushed for a roundabout to be built at the intersection, replacing the blisters and, he says, alleviate safety issues.
