Cavaliers have won a whopping 17 titles, including last season's thrilling five-run victory over St Pat's Old Boys.
Vice captain and opening batsman Bailey Ferguson says he's not quite sure why Cavs have been so dominant over the competition's 30-year history.
But he's more than happy to be part of it.
"I'm not sure, I just think it's the way we approach the game of T20 cricket," he said.
"It's not always the prettiest cricket."
Ferguson said having a versatile line-up where players could step up at vital times of a game helped.
The team will be without this season's marquee player Ben Mitchell for Friday's game but he's expected to play in their other games.
"Benny's playing in Sydney at the moment," he said.
Ferguson, who normally bats at number four, said he would be opening on Friday night.

He and Mitchell opened in last year's final.
"You want to get your team off to a flyer without losing early wickets," he said.
"You want to be not out in the first six [overs].
Ferguson said Cavs would largely field their regular Saturday team on Friday night.
And he said they hadn't put too much focus on changing their game plan for the faster format.
"Nothing really changes that much for us," he said.
Cavs' remaining T20 Pool D game will be against Rugby Union on January 8.
It's the last game scheduled before the finals start.
Cavs met Centennials Bulls in round 2 of the Bathurst and Orange Interdistrict Cricket Association competition.
Cavs hit 6/179 to beat the Bathurst team who made 70.
Hugh Britton took 6-33 off just eight overs including a maiden.
"It was a convincing win," Ferguson said.
Ferguson has a top score of 40 and is averaging 28 this season.
Cavs are now sitting on top of the BOIDC ladder after five games by a point from St Pat's Old Boys and Orange City.
After Friday night's 6.30pm clash at Wade Park Cavs back up with an away game against Kinross on Saturday afternoon.
