Shannon Brink, 27, of Dalton Street, was driving towards the Bathurst Road intersection at 1.50am on August 20 when he came to the attention of police.
They caught up when he stopped at the 7/Eleven and check revealed his P2 driver's licence was disqualified until October 24, 2022.
Brink was not present in Orange Local court for sentencing.
However, he did submit a letter to magistrate David Day who fined him $1100 and gave him a six-month community correction order.
Mr Day also disqualified Brink's driver's licence for a further six months.
