Link Airways airline services manager Jeff Boyd said demand for trips to Queensland had been particularly strong.
"The Brisbane [demand] has been dramatically increased since regional NSW opened up to Queensland," he said.
"There is an upkick [for Melbourne] but not the dramatic upkick [we have seen] for Brisbane."
I think that Orange is well serviced.
- Jeff Boyd, Link Airways
"We added some extra flights into Orange a couple of weeks ago."
Mr Boyd said the company was now offering four return flights a week to Brisbane and Melbourne from Orange.
He said that was about two-thirds of the services it had offered before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Link Airways, formerly known as Fly Corporate, continued to fly throughout the pandemic, but often there were few people on board.
"It was ones and twos," he said.
Mr Boyd said the company had introduced new routes but had no plans to introduce Orange flights to other places.
"Not at the moment, we have looked at other routes for Orange," he said.
He said they would not be seeking to compete with QantasLink and Rex Airlines on the Orange-Sydney route.
"We won't be going there," he said.
"I think that Orange is well serviced with three capital city routes at the moment."
The latest Orange City Council figures on airport use show that just 799 people used Orange Regional Airport in September compared to 7545 a year ago.
