I don't think we are. I'm pretty sure you don't think we are. The NSW Government certainly thinks we are.

I was born and grew up in Orange as did my dad, grandparents, and sisters. I have family in Orange, and buying a house In Orange.

I have always been proud to say I am from such a beautiful country town and I have watched it grow over the years while working from the 'politicking playground' of Canberra.

In terms of politicking and secrecy, however, Canberra has nothing on Sydney.

Why would the NSW Government make decisions about someone's home without asking them?

Why would East Orange neighbourhoods - homes with children walking to school around the corner - all be destroyed without consultation?

Are we too dumb to have our own views? Or is the political machinery of Sydney rolling over Orange?

In the 1800s small local settlements became the foundation of Orange.

Locals were consulted and farmers held meetings.

These early consultations resulted in the beautiful streetscapes and warm neighbourhoods of Orange.

Now, Sydney has plans to change East Orange forever - without asking the people of Orange.

The residents of East Orange are smart, wise, and warm-hearted people.

Everyone knows the city's expansion requirements and the pressures faced in different areas.

Let us, and our elected officials into the development plans which were funded by NSW taxpayers - including us.

Orange residents are not dumb and should be heard.
