A seven-year-old boy has died after being found unconscious at the bottom of a popular swimming hole in the Blue Mountains.

NSW Police reported the boy died shortly after arriving at Nepean Hospital after being rushed there earlier in the afternoon.
The boy's parents called emergency services about 2.20pm today (Sunday, November 15), reporting that the child had been missing for almost 30 minutes.
Family members pulled the boy from Jellybean Pool in Glenbrook about 25 mintues later.
Police began CPR with the revival effort then taken over by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

A Toll rescue helicopter was deployed and winched a medical team to the scene.
The boy was taken by road ambulance to Nepean Hospital.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
