Police have charged a 57-year-old woman with assault after she allegedly stabbed a man in Orange on Saturday night.

Officers from Central West Police District were called to a residence in Dora Street after the woman allegedly stabbed the man in the arm with a knife.
The injury was considered minor and medical attention was not required.
The woman was charged with a domestic violence assault occasioning actual bodily harm and she was bailed to appear in Orange Local Court later this month.
In another matter, a 22-year-old Cumnock man was charged with failing to quit a licensed premises, resisting and assaulting police.

Police will allege the man resisted and assaulted the police officers at the taxi rank in Lords Place about 10.50pm.
The man was bailed to appear in Orange Local Court in December.
In a third arrest, police charged a 43-year-old man in relation to a domestic violence assault in Orange on Saturday morning.
The 43-year-old is due to go to court later this month.
