Tony Ford, Orange Bird Society president, handed over a cheque for $500 from the Orange Bird Sale held earlier this year.
"We had our bird sale on March 7 and a few weeks later everything shut down because of COVID-19," said Mr Ford.
"We were lucky as people came from everywhere for the sale.
"It's because of our luck we are in the position to donate again to the Vinnies Van/Café."
Neil Rabbett from Vinnies thanked the Orange Bird Society for its support.
The van recently resumed operating after having to close during the height of the pandemic and Vinnies is looking for volunteers.
Each fortnight the Vinnies Van delivers freshly made sandwiches to residents in Orange and provides a home cooked lunch on Fridays.
The cafe service will host community members at its free Christmas lunch on November 20 at the Senior Citizens Centre.
Bookings: 6362 2565.
