Diesel and Blue Doggie Daycare has scored 98.44 per cent for customer satisfaction and was awarded the NSW winner in the animal and pet services and supplies category of the 2020 Australian Achiever Awards.
Diesel and Blue Doggie Daycare owner Danielle Haase was delighted with the award and said the business, which stated in September last year, is regularly at capacity caring for 150 dogs a week.
Miss Haase said most of the dogs were regulars coming between one and three days a week and as well as giving them a chance to socialise with other dogs the day care also provides a washing and grooming service and sends pet owners daily photos so they can see what their pets have been up to.
Bank refurbishment under way
Building works are in progress behind the screened-off entry at the National Australia Bank in Summer Street.
The works started at the start of October.
A NAB spokesman said it is anticipated the work will be completed later this month ahead of a reopening for customers at the start of December.
NAB Retail Regional NSW ACT executive Tony Story said the work will give the branch a new format.
"The Orange branch will be one of 34 across the country that we have transformed in 2020," Mr Story said.
"These new format branches help us serve our customers well, focusing on relationships and conversations.
"They complement a great experience online and with our NAB app, which is where our customers increasingly complete many of their transactions."
Cafe remains open
Bissy's Cafe in Warrendine Street will continue to operate as normal for the foreseeable future after going up for auction on Saturday.
Although about half a dozen people were present for the auction led by Tom Campbell the business was passed in with no sale.
The business will remain on the market with owners Paul and Fiona Rossiter looking for other pursuits.
However, the name Bissy's will not be part of the sale due to a sentimental attachment, it's their daughter's nickname.
