Orange City Council has approved the closure of the street between Sale and Anson streets to allow for formalities to take place outside the building. The road will be closed from 9am-noon.
The ceremony will also celebrate 130 years of the NSW Department of Primary Industries, which started in 1890.

Staff will now work from the new site after departing the former Kite Street office which has been the home for the DPI and Department of Planning Industry and Environment in Orange for many years.
The $75 million building was named the Ian Armstrong Building at an official ceremony on September 9.
Workers completed the four-storey, 8500 square metre complex in 593 days, or 20 months, since the first sod was turned in January 2019.
