Pet owners who receive the pension or have a healthcare card can have their cats and dogs vaccinated and microchipped for just $15 per pet on Saturday.
From 9am until 3pm on October 31, Orange Vet Hospital in conjunction with RSPCA NSW is offering the substantially reduced rate to Orange City Council residents with a valid pension or healthcare card.
There is a maximum of two animals per households, unless prior arrangement has been made. Bookings are essential, with the event location revealed at time of booking.
Breeders are not eligible and a valid card or proof of address must be presented on the day.

The RSPCA NSW/Orange Vet Hospital event specifically for healthcare and pension holders comes after increased pet adoptions rates across Orange and the Central West during COVID-19.
Orange City Council also provided heavily discounted desexing rates this month for the pets of residents with pension cards.
Canobolas Family Pet Hospital desexed 30 cats and dogs through the program, with Mayor Reg Kidd saying that the council made rates more affordable for those who had adopted companion animals to cope with the challenges of 2020.
"We know a lot of people, particularly the more vulnerable in our community, were feeling very isolated during the COVID-19 restrictions and many people adopted pets to help keep them company during this really tough time," Cr Kidd.
"It's important all cats and dogs in Orange are desexed , microchipped and registered for their own health and protection."
Orange City Council's Companion Animals Community Committee Chair Stephen Nugent said Council would investigate making it an annual opportunity.
"It's well known desexing pets is good for their health," he said.
"It can reduce the risk of serious health problems, reduce your dog barking, or your cat yowling at night time and desexing reduces the incentives to attempt to escape the yard."
