But in the meantime, the little one needs a name, and the public are invited to help select it.
The tiny chick is the only surviving hatching that was born to mum Diamond and dad Xavier this year.
Earlier in 2020, the peregrine falcon pair lost a chick that died after just two days. While another egg failed to hatch at all.
Charles Sturt University's adjunct lecturer in environmental management, Dr Cilla Kinross, who helps to run the FalconCam Project, said the gender of the new chick will not be known for about three more weeks, so all of the shortlisted names are gender neutral.
Each year Dr Kinross chooses a different theme to name the new chicks. This year the theme is palindromes. Voting for the chick's new name will close on Thursday at 5pm. The link to the online poll can be accessed via the Project's live new Nest Cam 2 video on YouTube.
