We'd love to go back-to-back but we need to focus on being consistent.
- Jacky Lyden
Orange Vipers might have taken out the Western Women's Rugby League competition in 2019 but after a large amount of player turnover in the offseason, the Marty Lyden-coached side is looking to 'test the waters' before launching their assault on the rest of the competition.

The premiers will head to Wallerawang on Sunday to take on Panorama and will do so without the likes of Bec Ford and Eb Watson as the experienced duo left the side over the winter.
Bell Fisher and Sami Afele are two of the new players set to join the ranks, the latter set to join veteran Jacky Lyden in the back row.
And for Jacky Lyden, it's important the new-look team doesn't set the bar too high and wants all of her players to focus on 'doing their job' before worrying about anything else.
"We'd love to go back-to-back but we need to focus on being consistent and each knowing our roles properly," she said
"We'd like some of the new girls to really focus on their position and to sit down and watch some games and go back to the basics... that's what you need to do sometimes when there's a lot of new players."
Not only have the Vipers welcomed a few new players to the side, they will welcome back guns like Heidi Regan and Em McDonald who will go a long way to guiding the team to another finals appearance.
Lyden had the luxury of playing for St Mary's at the start of the year and is looking to take on a leadership role but knows she isn't exempt from the team-wide goal of focusing on your position.
"It's the same for me as well," she said.
"I want to help out around the team but I also need to know what I'm doing and understand my position and put that all into practice.
Vipers' coach Marty Lyden is looking for the senior players to give the rookies a leg-up in the early stages of the season.
"We still have a bit of experience there and I'm looking for those girls to pick up where they left off last year," he said.
"For the new players, we want them to enjoy your first hit out and give them a bit of experience and show them what the game is all about."

While he expects the first couple of weeks to be somewhat of a teething process, Lyden knows the girls can't afford to slip up early on due to the nature of the season.
"It's a short year so the goal is still to win every game," he said.
"It's hard to say what our expectations are until we get some of the new girls out there and see where they're at.
"We've had a lot of training with the new players but the game is obviously very different so it will be interesting to see how they fare."
Kickoff is at 2pm from Wallerawang Oval.
