The work, submitted by children at Orange Public School, Orange East Public School and Nashdale Public School, is currently on display at Orange Central Square Shopping Centre.
Marketing Manager at Orange Central Square, Dana Irving, explained that the participating schools were asked to submit a series of artwork and designs to create illustrations which will be featured in a story book written by Australian Pilbara indigenous author, Sylvia Lockyer.
"We want to work with school's existing programs to continue student awareness of distinct cultural histories of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders," Ms Irving said.
"It is important to allow children to be curious and think about how they can reflect on the important issues and events for NAIDOC".
The illustrations are on display in the centre until Sunday, October 11. After which the finalists, as selected by the community, will be included in the book.
To lodge a vote for your favourite illustration, simply find the display boards located near Coles, scan the QR code and then fill out the registration form to select your favourite artwork.
