Jesse Anne Kennedy, 21, of Anson Street, was not present but indicated she would plead guilty.
According to police, Kennedy was driving a Mazda hatchback east over the bridge at Blowes Road at 2.30am on August 14.
Police followed the car into Edward Street before stopping it for a random breath test.
A police check revealed her P1 driver's licence expired on July 23.
Magistrate Elizabeth Ellis convicted her in her absence, fined her $800 and disqualified her driver's licence for eight months.
