CYMS
- SQUAD: Al Dhatt (out), Angus Le Lievre (out), Antony Spruce (out), Ike Dean (out), Rory Daburger (in).
- GOAL: To be competitive.
- TEAM TO BEAT: Orange City, Cavaliers, City Colts.
- CWD SAYS: CYMS will be relying on a host of the club's juniors to fill its top XI this summer. Early wins are not out of the realms of possibility - the club's juniors are as talented as any - but securing points before Christmas will be a bonus for a side still finding its feet. Expect a mid-ladder finish.
- PREDICTED FINISH: Eighth.
CYMS AIM TO BE COMPETITIVE AFTER LOSING VETERANS
CYMS' skipper Hugh Le Lievre is confident his side can be a competitive outfit in this season's Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket Association competition but admits the green and golds have a lot to overcome if they want to return to the finals.

The fourth-placed side from 2019-20 is dealing with a huge amount of key departures, most notably Angus Le Lievre who will reside in Sydney for the summer due to work commitments.
Throw Al Dhatt, Antony Spruce and Ike Dean onto the list of players leaving and you've got a fairly skinny CYMS side.
But when one door closes another one opens and Le Lievre's confident in the ability of a host of up-and-coming youngsters who will get the all clear to compete in the top grade this year, as well as new recruit Rory Daburger who's set to bring a bit of oomph to their top order.

"We'll have some personnel changes this season but it's a good chance to promote some of our talented juniors into the top grade," Le Lievre said.
"It might trouble us a bit in the first few rounds but it will really help us with longevity at the club."
When you're dealing with an unprecedented amount of player turnover, it's tough to pinpoint the exact expectations for the season but Le Lievre's goal is simple: "be as competitive as we can."
It's hard to know where we'll fit in on the ladder but hopefully not too low ... somewhere around the middle.

"It's an old cliche but that's all we want," he said.
"I think the change in competition structures will help us and all we can hope is to be there-abouts.

Le Lievre's BOIDC power rankings look fairly similar to the rest of the captains around the league and he's got the usual suspects at the top again.
"It's a flip of the coin between City, Cavaliers and City Colts," he said.
"Cavs will obviously be looking to bounce back strongly and will be disappointed with the result from last season.
"City has been the benchmark for the last two years at least and City Colts didn't have the best season last year but I wouldn't be surprised if they come out guns blazing under the new format."
As for an under-the-radar prospect, Le Lievre can't go past Bathurst St Pat's - the side that knocked CYMS out of the playoffs last season.
"They'll still be quite strong .. they can be very good. I think Bathurst City will be pretty competitive as well."
