Lee Cook said he knew at least "five or six" members of Orange Treadlies, a group of riders who organise rides together, had been swooped by the one magpie in recent weeks, with scratches and attacks causing bruising and drawing blood.
"The one magpie is actually dangerous, not just irritating or annoying. Someone's going to get it in the face unexpectedly," Mr Cook said.
"A while ago ago I went into Cameron Place, I went into one of the businesses there, chased me to the end of Cameron Place and along that road, up the highway, I went to Bunnings and Harvey Norman and it still chased me, for a kilometre. It's the same bird."
Mr Cook said he was going to approach both council and police about having the bird destroyed.
"Someone is going to be swerving away from this thing on their bike and they're going to get badly injured or hit by a car," he said.
"There are magpies swooping, I was swooped yesterday by two different magpies... but they just swoop.
"This guy just comes in at you. He hit me in the ear and drew blood. He comes in and pecks in the side."
Fellow rider Simon Price has been forced to put 30-centimetre-long zip ties on his helmet.
He said he'd been attacked last year by the same magpie which had left blood coming from above his eye - with sunglasses protecting his eyes from any closer damage.
