One of the men was sentenced in Orange Local Court for mid-range drink-driving after he consumed two long-neck bottles of beer and three stubbies in three hours before getting behind the wheel of his car.
Scott William Jefferson, 57, of March Street, was driving north on Allenby Road at 8.24pm on April 24 when he was stopped and tested positive to a random breath test.
He was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station where he returning a reading of 0.133 on analysis.
Jefferson said he had been drinking and eating between 5pm and 8pm.
His driver's licence was suspended at the time of his arrest.
Jefferson represented himself in Orange Local Court where he was sentenced by magistrate David Day.
Mr Day ordered him to be of good behaviour for 12 months and placed him on a community correction order.
He also ordered Jefferson to have an interlock device to test the alcohol level in his breath every time he drives for the next 12 months.
Due to the time he spent off the road with the police suspension Mr Day did not disqualify him from driving.
In another matter, a man who smokes cannabis daily was disqualified from driving for three months after police found him driving with illicit drugs in his system.
Edward McGrath, 50, of Davidson Court, was driving along Jilba Street at 12.10pm on May 29, when police stopped him for random drug and alcohol testing.
McGrath tested positive to cannabis so was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station for further analysis.
At the police station he said, "I smoke everyday".
He also appeared in Orange Local Court before Mr Day who disqualified his drivers licence and convicted him without further penalty.
"If he smokes a cone everyday he stands a good risk of being detected if he's driving," Mr Day said during the hearing.
Solicitor Nico Rump said he discussed the issue with McGrath who said he was looking to stop using the drug.
