Those were the words of a motivated Heelers' centre Sami Laing as the speedster is looking to secure her third consecutive premiership with the Heelers and wants to help the new players on the team experience that feeling for the first time.
Anthony Regan's girls will travel to Bathurst's Carrington Park on Saturday to take on the CSU Mungals who have dominated the Mid-west competition for the last five years.
The Heelers wouldn't traditionally cross paths with the students but when the Woodbridge Cup was canned for the 2020 season, Cargo came across to join the premiers in the Wallerawang Landscaping Cup and when they did, it felt like the two sides would eventually square off in the finale.
As it turns out, that's exactly how it unfolded.
"CSU has won a few, we've won a few, it's going to be good," Laing said.
"It's been nice to give the competition a new challenge. A big focus for me and the other girls is to give the girls that are new to us - and have been playing with other sides - a grand final winning experience."
But it's going to take more than enthusiasm for the Heelers to knock off the reigning champions and Laing and company have been dialled in at training this week.
"We've just been focusing on our plays and executing them," she said.
"We want to link up a few combinations that might come in handy on the day... there's no new focus.
"Our defence isn't something we've been focusing on too much because that's always been a strength of ours. If you look at our scores, we've held a lot of teams to nil and we don't concede many points."
As for the students, Laing knows the tempo will be up and her side needs to do what it can to slow it down where possible.
"They played a quicker paced game so we want to slow it down and play Cargo footy," she said.
The women's grand final will set the stage for the men's decider as the CSU Mungoes will play host to the Oberon Tigers in one of the more anticipated Mid-west finales in recent memory.
Both sides are stacked with genuine first-grade talent and like the Heelers and Munglas, will be doing battle for the third time this season.
Kick-off for the league tag contest will be at 1.30pm while the boys will get underway at 3.15. Tickets need to be purchased.
