An unrelated police visit to a man's home resulted in a fine and conviction for drug possession.

Scott Edwards, 32, of Molloy Drive, was fined $110 in Orange Local Court after police found cannabis in his bedroom.
According to police, officers went to his address for an unrelated matter on June 10.
While they were inside the house the police officers found 1.6 grams of cannabis in Edwards' bedroom.
He told police the drug was for personal use.
Police seized the drug and took it to Orange Police Station to be destroyed.
