Chief Inspector Scott Rayner said the woman is also alleged to have damaged a TV and a doorway.
He said police were called to a unit block in Albert Street at 12.23am Saturday after reports a tenant had been evicted but was refusing to leave.
Chief Inspector Rayner said the woman was involved in disputes with other residents. He said she was arrested and charges were pending.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old Orange man was arrested at a Lawson Crescent house on Friday and charged with resisting arrest after police attended to execute an outstanding warrant.
He is due to appear in Orange Local Court this week.
And in another unrelated incident police are investigating a report of a break and enter at a property in South Terrace.
Chief Inspector Rayner said a ground floor window had been smashed to gain entry between 7am-11am.
However he said it appeared the offender might have been disturbed as nothing appeared to have been stolen.
He said forensic officers would examine the scene.
