Robert Brennan, 25, of Dalton Street, was a passenger in a car that was stopped by officers from the Central West Police District Target Action Group on June 6.
The police officers were patrolling Glenroi when they stopped the Holden Commodore Brennan was travelling in for a random breath test at Goorawin Road at 11.30pm.
After speaking with the driver and Brennan, police thought there could be drugs in the car so they searched the occupants and vehicle.
They found a small amount of cannabis that was wrapped tightly in plastic wrap in Brennan's pants pocket.
The drug weighed one gram in its packaging and Brennan was not present in Orange Local Court where he was fined $220.
