The Cudal and District Men's Shed will be able to build their own unisex amenities block with the help of a $7000 grant.

The grant was awarded under the Australian Government's National Shed Development Program.

Cudal and Districts Men's Shed president Robert Smith said the funding meant a lot to the members.
"We have 10 to 12 members and we're always encouraging people to come along and enjoy the area," he said.
"The shed's a great place to get together and to relate to each other.

"We've even had the year 6 students come down and do a project before the COVID restrictions set in, so it'll be great to have our own amenities."
The cost will cover the construction of the slab, toilet connection to the sewer, water connection, stormwater drainage, new guttering and down pipes and a cement slab outside for a pathway to access it and disability access.

Federal Member for Calare Andrew Gee visited the site on September 7 and said it was a terrific development for the Cudal and District Men's Shed.
"The guys here have done a great job in developing this shed over the last twelve years," he said.
"This new amenities block will allow the shed to continue to grow and remain the much-loved hub of community service and fellowship that it's become."
