A 58-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash near in the northern Riverina on the weekend, but mystery surrounds the cause of the accident.

About 7.10am on Saturday, police were called to Euroka Road, Quandialla, about 60 kilometres north west of Young, after a Holden Colorado utility was located crashed by a passing motorist.
The driver and sole occupant died at the scene.
Officers from The Hume Police District commenced inquiries into the cause of the crash which is believed to have occurred around 11pm on Friday and when the vehicle was found on Saturday.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
