CYMS took out the travelling side 30-10 and consolidated third spot on the Maas Group Western Youth League as they sit second in their pool, trailing only Bathurst St Pat's.
The side was able to overcome a sloppy start to eventually run away with the result and Jones was happy to see the his troops turn it on and get the job done.
"We started slowly but eventually brought some energy," Jones said.
play our game, we'll have it in the bag."
"We we bring that energy we play our best footy and make it hard for other teams to play their style.
"We were determined to maintain some momentum before the finals and we had the feeling Lithgow felt they had the wood on us after last time so we wanted to make sure we reversed the result."
It's no surprise who Jones congratulated after the match as a certain someone stood out in the absence of Pat Williams.
"Cody Kelso again led the way for us in the absence of our injured halfback," he said.
"Our hooker Ryan Banks also showed some signs of hitting form in the absence of Liam Wilson."
"Lithgow are a great side and will only be better next year with another season in 18s."
A troublesome first half plagued Jake Blimka's Hawks in their Tuesday night loss to St Pat's as the twoblues fel 36-24.
"One word... discipline," said coach Blimka after the game.
"We didn't start well at all and our discipline was awful in the first half."
Blimka's boys were trailing by 20 points at the break, so to come out and only lose by 12 was pleasing. "We showed we can beat the top teams, we just need to play for the full game and not in patches.
"If we can do that, we can beat anyone. We'll work on it at training and hopefully be better in the finals." Despite the loss, Hawks are still on track to finish third in their pool.
