Carl and Nigel Sandeman usually sell tools to hardware stores but launched Fetched to sell premium dry dog food in early March.
"It's 100 per cent Australian owned and 100 per cent Australian produced, 98 per cent Australian ingredients, there's a couple of oils you cannot get locally," Carl Sandeman said.
He said they started the easy opt-out business after noticing growing demand for subscription-based products.
He said boxed and bagged dry products tended to go stale after awhile and 41 per cent of dogs in Australia were obese so they created sachets from 100 per cent recycled material.
"Every feed is fresh," he said.
"We worked with a nutritionist, it's a kangaroo and lamb, grain free product."
He said the recipe was created to help dogs with digestive problems and the subscriptions were customised to ration how much food an individual dog should have each day according to age, weight and activity level.
Rent a chair takes off
Hairdresser Hannah DeGraaf has been cutting and styling hair for nine-years but has now branched out to rent a chair full-time at a salon in March Street.
Mrs De Graaf opened Hair by Hannah at a salon at 55a March Street 10 weeks ago after seeing the chair rental advertised on Instagram.
"There's four of us that rent a chair, I'm the only one that works full time," she said.
"I pay my rent weekly, we buy our own stock and products and everything and we just move in."
Mrs DeGraaf said the concept was more popular in metropolitan areas than the country but it gave stylists a chance to be their own boss, be more flexible and be more in control of their earning potential.
"My most popular time is evenings so I tend to start later and work into the evenings, a lot of the other girls word school hours," she said.
