The CYMS' first-grade prop is at the helm for the green and golds' Maas Group Western 18s Youth League side this season and sent one message to his second-placed side on Friday... it starts with the big boys.
Jones will be looking for the likes of Cody Kelso to aim up early and often as CYMS will try to complete a season sweep of cross-town rivals Hawks after smashing a depleted twoblues side under lights three weeks ago.
But since that big win, CYMS have tasted defeat on two occasions and understand that Sunday's tilt will be a hell of a lot different as Jake Blimka's boys have welcomed back a host of returning players since then.
"This is a big game for us," Jones said.
"We did enjoy that derby win last time but the boys certainly understand that Hawks were understrength... it's going to be a lot different this time around."
In the way of the aforementioned derby, Jones was slightly unhappy with his side's intensity as he felt the aggression from his big men was lacking so it's no surprise he's taken aim at the pack again.
"Hawks have a strong forward pack so we need to make sure our big boys lead the way and we go from there," he said.
"We have plenty of strike power in the halves and out the back so for us, it starts in the middle.
"The pack was lacking a bit against Pat's and Lithgow too."
The green and golds had a horror schedule in the opening fortnight of the season as they played 11 games in four days and now that the midweek fixtures have eased off, the side's been able to focus more on training.
"We've been able to improve our structure at training and a few other things."
Both Orange sides have 3-2 records after five games and whoever win Sunday's contest could find itself in second position behind the ladder-leading St Pat's.
Norton Park is the destination for a 12.30pm kick-off.
