NSW Department of Industries plant bacteriologist Dr Toni Chapman feature in a Zoom presentation on August 18 to discuss bacterial pathogens in plants and how this affects agricultural production.
At the NSW DPI, Dr Chapman works revolves around being a diagnostician and researcher.
As a diagnostician, Dr Chapman examines sick plants and determines what is the cause of infection and as a researcher she investigates bacterial pathogens and looks at its DNA to determine how similar they are to each other and how to identify them through the development of laboratory tests.
The program called Plant X will bring scientists and artists together to investigate the health of plant systems.
