According to police, Dena Maree Marsh, 45, of Cassey Crescent, turned off her headlights and closely followed the other car in the early hours of January 29.
Marsh initially saw the victim and a witness at the 7Eleven on Bathurst Road at 12.30am but parked in Eyles Street to clean up a spilled drink, then followed after the victim drove past.
Solicitor Gerry Stapleton said Marsh had children in her car and intimidated the other driver after someone yelled out "your sister is a s***".
Police said Marsh followed the victim aggressively around the Orange CBD and constantly flashed her headlights and beeped her horn.
At one point Marsh began to overtake the victim and she started to angle her Holden Commodore towards the victim's car in what police said was an attempt to run the victim off the road while they were both still driving.
The victim sped up to 60km/h and managed to get to the Bathurst Road BP where a man, who the victim had contacted, was waiting in another car to escort her home.
However, Marsh cut the man off at the intersection of Bathurst Road and McLachlan Street.
Marsh followed the victim through two laps of the CBD including Byng Street, Lords Place, March Street and Anson Street until they stopped outside Orange Police Station on the third lap.
A male passenger, who cannot be identified due to his age, got out of Marsh's car and kicked in the driver's window of the other car and Marsh said, "we don't care if you've got kids or not, your house is going up, we know where you f***ing live".
"This is what you get for hanging around dogs [you] get fleas."
Marsh and her passenger then drove off and Marsh reportedly dragged her hand across her throat.
Marsh admitted to being the driver when police went to her address on February 22 but said "you're kidding me, oh this is getting beyond a f***ing joke" about the intimidation.
Magistrate David Day ordered Marsh's 12-month custodial sentence to be supervised, she will be subject to electronic monitoring, rehabilitation and treatment conditions.
The sentence was for menacing driving, intimidation and for breaching a previous community correction order she was given and failing to complete 188 hours and 22 minutes of a 200-hour community service order she was given for a previous affray. Mr Day also disqualified her driver's licence for 12 months.
"She has substantial experience in the criminal justice system," Mr Day said.
