Firefighters attended the call-out, which was to an external fire alarm in the western car park.
Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters concluded there had been a build-up of car exhaust and dust in the alarm and after an inspection of the premises allowed people back in a short time later.
The centre followed its long-standing protocol by evacuating after the alarms went off.
