Cargo Road was closed after nearly half a dozen trees came down on Friday and Four Mile Creek Road was cleared of over 100 felled trees, while power was out for properties from Mullion Creek to Mandurama.
The Mitchell Highway was also temporarily blocked, while trees are down on Maxwell Avenue in Orange, Clergate Road, and out in Springside. Racecourse Road was also closed after powerlines were brought down.
There is also roof damage in Turner Drive and Sophie Drive in Orange, as well as a detached roof and damaged carport in Molong and at the pub in Spring Hill.
The SES is responding to most jobs across the city, while Rural Fire Service crews have also responded to a handful of jobs, including trees blocking Spring Terrace Road and Bowen Park Road.
An SES spokesperson urged anyone in a life-threatening situation to call triple zero, and reminded people not to walk or drive through rising floodwaters if they come across them.
Canowindra Road, Strathmore Lane, Belgravia Road, Spring Terrace Road, The Escort Way, Garra Road, Euchareena Road, Starrs Road, Norah Creek Road, Clergate Road, Greening Lane, Tantalian Road, Pine Cliff Road, Underwood Road, Gavins Lane, Lake Canobolas Road, Weldegrave Road, Burgess Road, Ophir Road, Mulyan Road, Fannings Road and Paling Yarn all have trees down according to Cabonne Council.
Gusts of up to 60 kilometres and hour hit Orange and the surrounding region on Friday as temperatures plummeted.
RFS Canobolas Zone operations manager Brett Bowden said trees were more susceptible to coming down after the rain.
"Because of the wet ground, the surface soil has been weakened, the trees are more susceptible to being blown over with the winds," he said.
Meanwhile, a wet and windy weekend is predicted with a dusting of snow on Sunday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Duty forecaster Jiwon Park said on Friday, Orange was battered with north easterly wind gusts of up to 30 km/hour to 60 km/hour with decent rainfall.
"On Friday, Orange Airport recorded up to 5.7mm but we expect that will exceeded over 10mm throughout the day and night" he said.
"The rain is bringing stronger winds in some parts of the western slopes, with Dubbo recording up to 80km/hour wind gusts."
"With a low pressure system, there is a possibility the strong winds will move across the Central Tablelands and into Orange but hopefully this will subside."
Mr Park said Orange should expect a shower or two, starting out the day with a crispy 3 degree with tops of 9 degrees on Saturday and 0 degrees on reaching to 6 degrees on Sunday and a long awaited sight of snow.
"There is also a possibility snow dusting on Sunday and Monday," he said.
"We are expecting between 10mm to 20mm rainfall over the weekend."
