Central West Police District Acting Inspector Susan Mackenzie said police will visit the Naylor Pavilion at Orange Showground as part of its coronavirus compliance patrols.
Acting Inspector Mackenzie said the patrols take in the entire town and any social or sporting events.
"So far so good," she said.
Orange Farmers Market president Richard Dowling said the committee has made some changes following feed back from the July farmers' market.
"We are encouraging shoppers and stall holders to wear masks to do as much as we can to keep the markets safe," Mr Dowling said.
"We will have a couple of people wandering around just to keep people moving, it's just so easy to stop.
"We have slightly changed the layout just make a bigger footprint in the pavilion."
He said the new layout would have more space for people to walk around those who stop at stalls to buy goods.
Mr Dowling said there will be hand sanitiser at stalls and among the produce that will be available will be truffles, fresh vegetables, wine, olive oil, honey, coffee and hot consumable food that will be for take away only, no seating will be provided.
The Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak will collect the gold coin donations at this Saturday's famers' markets and the Rotarians will wear masks to keep themselves, stall holders and customers safe.
Market attendees donated more than $1600 towards Rotary projects at the July farmers' markets.
Orange City Council Chief Executive Officer David Waddell said the council resolved in June this year to allow the Orange Farmers Market to return to the Naylor Pavilion subject to current COVID-19 restrictions.
"Orange City Council continues to comply with the requirements of government and health authorities to manage the COVID pandemic," Mr Waddell said.
"The farmers' markets are run by an organising committee.
"The committee makes sure the event complies with COVID safe plans."
The market will operate from 8.30am to noon, entry will be a gold coin donation, and it is requested only one person enter that line at a time.
