The small supermarket has opened in the space that was formerly known as Jack's Corner Store.
Brothers Manjit and Mani Singh bought Jack's Corner Store in 2018.
However, recently the business was rebranded.
The Moulder Street business has been running for upwards of 70 years.
Coffee shop relocates
The Crema coffee shop in Lords Place has relocated.
The popular cafe has moved just a few doors up and remains on the same side of the street.
Crema opened at its new location on Monday.
Crema manager Kate McIlherron said the move was decided to provide more space for customers and an appropriate space became available.
"We opened [in Lords Place] years ago, it was very small," Miss McIlherron said.
"We wanted a seating area for our customers."
Miss McIlherron said the lease was organised about six months ago but the COVID-19 pandemic affected the fit-out and re-location plan.
She said the feedback from customers about the new cafe has been positive.
Tenants seek advice
VERTO has seen an increase in demand for its Tenants' Advice and Advocacy services, with the COVID-19 pandemic impacting vulnerable community members across Orange and the Central West regions.
Since the pandemic hit, more and more people have relied on the free tenancy service, with VERTO figures revealing that more than 55 per cent of all its cases from the past 12 months are new clients that have not used or required the service ever before.
VERTO CEO Ron Maxwell welcomed the added protection provided by the Australian government to help tenants who were financially effected by COVID-19.
However, he is concerned that the protections do not cover all evictions and some tenants remain vulnerable.
"During these difficult times, I hoped that we would see tenants and landlords work together to provide the right solution to allow people to keep a roof over their heads," Mr Maxwell said.
"If you need help, please come and see us. The service is free of charge and we are here to help and look forward to having constructive conversations with landlords in the interests of both parties."
