Rain fell many times during the month, with Bureau of Meteorology data revealing just how wet it was.
Lithgow received the most rain with 102.6 millimetres recorded during the month which is way above the city's long-term median of 67.6mm.
Cowra wasn't too far behind with 95.2mm which is also well above the long-term July total of 52.5mm.
It was also very wet in Young with 87.6mm (median of 61.7mm), Dubbo recorded 82.0mm (median of 39.9mm) and there was 81.2mm in Mudgee (median of 41.9mm).
The rainy weather in Bathurst during July was also well received with 79.8mm, which is almost double the monthly median of 40.7mm.
While a whopping 78.6mm of rain fell in Orange during the month, this was only 6.6mm above the long-term median of 72.0mm.
There was 66.8mm of rain in Parkes (median of 46.5), Wellington received 66.5mm (48.6mm) and while Forbes received the least rain at 58.0mm it was still above the average of 37.8mm.
Following frosty mornings this weekend in the Central West, the days are predicted to be sunny.
