A man who was caught driving with methamphetamine in his system has been convicted in Orange Local Court.

Jamahl John Wright, 23, of Packham Drive, Manildra, was driving along Hill Street when he was stopped by police about 9.40am on January 17 for random testing.

He told police he had smoked the drug ice with friends on previous days.
During the traffic stop police discovered Wright's driver's licence had been suspended due to a fine default.
However, Wright had not been back to the address since the suspension was issued so he was issued with an on-the-spot suspension instead.
Wright did not appear in court where his driver's licence was disqualified for six months and he was fined $330.
