The Blayney Bears gun turned 19 on Friday and he's also champing at the bit ahead of his second Presidents Cup start when the Western Rams set sail for a clash with Western Suburbs at Wollongong on Saturday.
The former NSW Country under 18s prop was a surprise selection in the Rams' opening round team but after coming back to the region during the COVID-19 period has jumped at the chance to lace up the boots for the green and white again.
He'll partner up with Hawks' Tom Romer in the front-row for the second week in a row and says the tutelage the ex-St Mary's gun has provided him with so far throughout what has been a mini pre-season of sorts with the Western boys has been invaluable.
"He's going really good and he's looking after me ... all the boys have," Henry said.
The inaugural Presidents Cup campaign is a pretty drastic step up for Henry.
He's only previous experience on the representative stage has been in age-competitions with Western, NSW Country and the Penrith Panthers.
He's now playing alongside the likes of former NRL half Harry Siejka, Rams star Jackson Brien and Hawks big man Ethan McKellar, and he couldn't be happier to do so.
"It's a big step up but I'm loving it," he said.
"It's a good challenge and I'm definitely getting a bit out of it."
Henry's first taste of play was in a 24-4 loss to Hill Bulls at Forbes on Saturday, a fixture that taught him a thing or two about the style of play this competition has in store for him.
"It was fast and physical but I loved it," he said.
He's one of two Bears' alumni playing in the Presidents Cup alongside the returning Nick Tilburg, who has been coming off the bench for Western.
When asked if one of his goals was to put his hometown on the map in the best way possible, the answer was a simple one - "absolutely".
Rams' coach Cam Greenhalgh declared he'd like his Western men to shrug off the competition-wide attitude that blokes from the country can't win.
"That's the thing we are going to come up against every weekend, that attitude ... 'they're the boys from the bush and they've got no right to beat us city fellas'," Greenhalgh said.
"We've just got to overcome that and Western is very proud in that area, stepping up when we need to, so we just have to keep going the next seven or eight weeks and keep playing the best footy we can."
Kick-off comes to you from Sid Parrish Park at 3.10pm.
Meanwhile, Dubbo CYMS has received a boost ahead of its trip to the Hunter for round two with rep centre Jyie Chapman named to make his Presidents Cup debut.
The CYMS centre has barely trained since suffering an ankle injury in the Challenge Cup loss to Wyong in February but has recovered and has been named to play for the Fishies in Saturday's meeting with the Maitland Pickers.
